Makar Shankranti

Maghe Shankranti is a popular festival of Nepali people.It is celebrated all over of Nepal bu Hindus people, So it is national holiday on this day. We clelbated it today .A large number of local people of Hindu community have thronged the Local  River from early morning today and are offering worships by taking holy dips on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti. 
A large number of devotees have come to the river to take a holy bath despite chilling cold coupled with thick fog. Maghe Sankranti, also known as Makar Sankranti, is observed as New Year by Tharus. 
On this occasion, people take sweets, beaten rice, yam, and Khichadi (a dish made by cooking rice and lentil together) and offer delicious food items to the relatives. Similarly, people of Maithili community also observe this festival with fun by offering delicious foods to their family members.

Pictures Bala Chuturdashi

I went early in morning at pasupatunath toda and took some pictures. today there is a very spacial day called bala chaturdashi. it is celebrated on 4 Th day of full moon of this monthThanusand and thousands people come there yesterday evening and stay whole night there. old people fire and sing religion song and dance to pass the night. youth dance with folk dance.they have religion bath early in the morning today and disperse Sata Bew( Mix of seven grains like wheat and millet).it is believed here that its great value to disperse the grain than gold and diamond.
